Description

Known as one of the great climbs of the Giro d’Italia, Monte Bondone became legendary during the 1956 Giro when Charly Gaul delivered one of cycling’s most famous rides, attacking through a snowstorm to claim victory and secure his place in cycling history.

Rising above Trento in the Trentino-Alto Adige region of Italy, Monte Bondone is a 17.3 km climb that gains 1,423 metres at an average gradient of 8.2%, with ramps reaching 20%.
